Road bridge and steel pedestrian structure
The West Station Road Extension, also known as the Jinshui Road Extension, includes a 230 m bridge crossing the Jialu River at Xiliu Lake. The main road bridge uses a variable-depth cast-in-place prestressed concrete box girder.
A separate pedestrian bridge uses a fish-belly steel box structure made from Q355C steel, with a recorded weight of 701.48 tonnes. Keeping the road and pedestrian structures distinct is important when describing dimensions and quantities.
Park and river connection
The bridge connects Zhengzhou’s Zhongyuan and High-Tech districts and provides road access across the Xiliu Lake and Jialu River area. The pedestrian bridge offers a separate route through the park setting.
